I loved it-70's with a breeze and sunshine.....it's been great here. However, the kids have not appreciated the temperatures-our pool is not heated. Why is it they will jump in the freezing temps of Lake Huron & Lake Michigan but won't go in the pool until it's 85 degrees out???

Never really hit full summer here. Very Mild. The problem up here with this is everyones tomatoes, unles you grew them where they get ALL day sun are not ripening quick enough. A lot of them are rotting on the plant, so expect higher then average prices this year for tomatoes. And I'm not sure how the corn farmers are doing due to the mild summer. I mean, everything grew huge. I had the healthest tomato plants I've ever had, nice thick tall bush green plants. Luckily I did 60 'mater plants, but half are still holding green tomatoes.

Yes! My sister is having this issue with her tomato plants, they are rotting on the vine and gross because they are green for so long. She planted a few this year and some cucumbers - wow did a few of those things grow monstrous! She wasn't sure when to pick them and they were huge and wayy too many seeds inside! We did get a few good ones though, and a few nice eggplants I took home and made eggplant parmesean with. Loved every bite of it!
Can't believe Halloween is just around the corner! And I am not even decorated for it yet! Nephew is going to be on my case soon if I don't get moving. Simba is going to be greeting trick or treaters this year in a pumpkin costume. Zoey was supposed to be a witch, but she won't keep one on.

My mom has a new trick....she puts a TBSP of Epsom Salt in the ground with her tomato plants when she plants them. They turned out sooooo tender and sweet. They did take quite a long time to ripen though

it's been nice during the day, but the mornings are still pretty cold. 21 this morning. I did however get two remodel projects done in the house in the last 5 weeks because all my outdoor gardens were pretty much done after a couple of good freeze nights in october. My Downstairs bathroom and our master bedroom walk in closet. Beaus pretty happy to have a full functioing closet finally! LOL!
