I am absolutely loving it!!!  Tucker wants to stay out allll day.  His brother Oscar hates wind.  He's much bigger than Tuck and yet soooo picky.  He hates wind blowing so he lays under a towel on my sis-in-laws lap.  He waits to be carried up the stairs when she is around but races up them when I am babysitting him.  They love him to death.
UPDATE:  Sonny & I have been asked to be the Therapy Dog Coordinator at a huge brand new hospital that has gone up in our area.  We went to fill out our paperwork today and take a tour.  It looks like Italy....cobblestone and rock floors, shutters on the inside of the windows, painted brick walls....just gorgeous!!
Sonny & I are taking the oncology unit, as they are the most aprehensive about having us.  Get this,....we are the first hospital in the United States to have an In House Therapy Dog.  Henry is a lab who didn't quite fit the Paws With a Cause Program.  A worker there asked us if we would like to try it and we said YES!!!  She has trained 10 volunteers on handling him....he is sooooo mellow!  One volunteer takes him home at 5 every night and returns him at 8 every morning.  She is also taking the responsibility of grooming and regular vet care.  He owns the place and thrives on the attention.  I am so excited to be part of this.  Tucker has a lot of pup left in him and I love it.  Once he gets bored with the pup stuff, he's going to make a great therapy dog as well.
Ahhhhh, I ramble, sorry  Huh?

CONGRATS Carol, that's awesome news!!   How great.... Sonny is a gem!  I'm very excited to hear that you'll be the coordinator, I am sure there will be lots of memories there... enjoy every moment!! Therapy work is so great.

It has been sunny and warm here since Friday, but it started raining around 3pm and got real cool. We got the grass all cut and mowed at home and helped out at my sis's place. Katy (her Shepherd mix) was happy as a meadow lark, running around with the kids in the yard while we got the grass mowed and raked out the garden beds to get them ready for planting.

Weather has been back and forth.
Couple days warm, couple days cool and damp. (But we really do need the rain!)
It sure is nice to be done with winter though!

Congrats on the therapy job!
That's fabulous!

Carol I just re-read your message: is Sonny going to be the in-house therapy dog or the other lab? I wasn't clear on who you meant. And, how's it going??

Henry is our inhouse therapy dog at the new hospital.  He is there 8-5 Mon-Fri but I'll let ya in on a secret.....we do it like Lassie cuz it was very tiring for Henry.  We have 3 different Henry's who take turns being 'Henry'; all black labs. It's a big job.  Sonny & I are coordinating the program and we have 11 very good, very committed teams with 2 more being certified in the next 2 weeks.  Sonny & I also plug in on Mondays. Cherish & Tucker are training daily to meet their CGC and Therapy Dog Certification. All I have to do is say 'train' and they wiggle & waggle all over the place with excitement.  Both are terrible at 'stay' but the rest they have down pat.
